The Martin Andersen Nexø Memorial Society

The Society was founded on 15^th December 1989 in Nexø Library. The following were elected to the first Board:
Chair Karl Ejner Ipsen, Deputy Poul Harild, Treasurer Poul Andersen, Secretary Carsten Mogensen, Jesper Fink, Preben Hansen and Henrik Vensild.

The house was taken over on 5^th July 1990 and the first temporary exhibition was opened on 11^th July 1990.
